Wine Estate Karthäuserhof – sublime Riesling and Pinot blanc for 200 years

One of the rare monopolistic vineyards in Germany is the home of refined Rieslings and noble Pinot blancs. 

A truly great wine needs a great home – its terroir – for optimal development.

The Karthäuserhofberg, located at Eitelsbach, with its steep slopes of well-weathered Devon slate, close to the estuary of the rivers Mosel and Ruwer, provides an ideal micro-climate for exceptional Riesling wines with complex fruit structures, and elegant Pinot Blancs. 

Equally important are our people, who know how to maximize the grapes’ full potential, applying age-old craftsmanship to produce unique and sublime wines.  

The trademarked Karthäuserhof label on our bottles stands for uncompromising quality and long lasting drinking pleasure. Our Rieslings and Pinot blancs are exclusively “Gutsabfüllung” which means that all steps - from picking to pressing to bottling and shipment – take place at the vineyard, without the use of external contractors. In this way, we control each individual stage of production in order to guarantee the highest quality of our wines. 

We invite you to treat yourself to our wines, which range from dry to semi-dry and sweet wines. Depending on the year, we also have ice-wines.

With our starter kit, you can sample a carefully selected mix of our different wines at home. Enjoy a semi-dry Riesling or Pinot Blanc with your favourite Asian dish, or try a dry Riesling with your latest fish recipe. 

If you appreciate a good sparkling wine, try our new “Pinot blanc brut”. Carefully produced using the traditional hand-riddling method and blended with our prestigious ice wine, the Karthäuserhof Pinot blanc brut represents a wonderfully creamy, high quality Sekt at a very attractive price.
